“We had the best time at Palmer Dance Studio preparing for our first dance for our wedding. My husband and I came in with zero experience, minimal coordination, and were basically walking disasters, but by the end of our lessons, we were able to pull off a very memorable and wonderful first dance. The dance was not difficult to learn and included a dip (with a kiss), a lift, and there was even had a “trust fall” ending to our dance. We had a lot of fun during our lessons and we genuinely looked forward to attending lessons each week. She had 5 stars from current and former students and her information on her website was super clear, like she was the first time I contacted her. She stated her reasonable prices for private lessons and we scheduled our first appointment. Her home studio is lovely, comfortable and professionally decorated. I admitted to her how bad I was at dancing and that my large family all agreed. In her calm deliberate manner, she broke it down into small steps that even I could understand and perform. She was observant, interested, engaged and infinitely patient with my forgetfulness and missteps. My wife and I did five lessons. “Sue's honestly the best. I booked private lessons through her for a valentine's day gift for my partner. Neither of us had any experience dancing so I think we were both a little intimidated walking in there. She quickly put our minds to ease with her outgoing and funny personality. She is SO patient and meets each person at their individual starting point. She makes sure you have the basics of the dance down so you have a solid foundation before going into the more complicated moves. She did such an amazing job teaching us swing dance that we ended up booking more private lessons with her to learn salsa dance. We now know and love dancing and made a wonderful friend doing so. If you're looking for dance lessons for a wedding or just an idea for date night, she's your gal! Couldn't recommend her enough.”
